1990

The Elok-Opava consortium was founded. From the beginning the company is engaged in the development and production of electronic equipment and equipment for explosive area.

1991

Rental of office space on Těšínská Street. Our first installation of Elok-designed and produced equipment in the Northern Moravia area. First employee.

1992

Moved to a new rented space on Pekářská Street. Elok-Opava Ltd was founded. Development and production of stationary oxygen analysers for mining and portable oxygen analysers for hospitals and health authorities. Establishment of cooperation with VVUÚ Radvance mining institute in Ostrava.

1993

Opening of a shop with electronic components. Opening of a mechanical workshop. Supply of control systems for lifts for the reconstruction on power plant chimneys. Production of convertible stands for monitors and telephones. Elok has 8 employees.

1994

Development and production of the electric control system for supply and measurement of heat with the use of an energy store - cooperation with British Gas. Nomination for the Innnovative company of the year.

1995

Purchase of premises in Sádek. Initiation of its reconstruction - ground floor.

1996

Relocation of the company to Sádek. Development of new equipment - bar code readers for explosive area, amplifiers for controlling proportional valves. Significant orders for the Czech petrochemical industry.

1997

Initiation of cooperation with Gledhill UK. Development of new equipment, for example dosing unit, grounding tester, contactless identification system. Elok has 12 employees.

1998

Delivery of control systems to Gledhill. Certification in the testing laboratory in Cambridge. VAE purchases shares in Elok.

1999

Reconstruction of the 2nd floor. Formation of independent construction and development departments. Opening of EMC testing laboratory. Elok has 16 employees.

2000

Initiation of deliveries of electrical equipment for mine locomotives. Certification in accordance with ISO 9001.

2001

Installation of a Document management system. The project of production and storage areas is launched. Elok becomes the part-owner of ATM Elektro s.r.o. Elok has 21 employees.

2002

Initiation of extension of production and storage areas. Elok UK Ltd founded. Initiation of deliveries to Serck Controls UK. Elok has 31 employees.

2003

Certification of production in accordance with ATEX standards. Export of dosing units including to NATO tank farms.

2004

Introduction of Enterprise Resource Planning system.

2005

Certification in accordance with ISO 9001:2000. Purchase of 3D CAD, CAM work stations. Development of the control system for vending machines. Elok has 45 employees.

2006

Initiation of cooperation with Stahl, which is becoming a significant distributor of grounding units. First GSM modems for explosive area developed for ORI GmbH. Started the development of the unique equipment for ecology for Salamander (Science park, University of Manchester). Production rises, in particular of electric equipment of mine locomotives for Ferrit. Initiation of delivery of vending machines to Paragon UK.

2007

Realized further deliveries of EVA6 for Chinese market. Development of new products for VAE Controls – data terminal ETR and innovation of the contactless identification system. The company is certified according to the procedures IECEx for non-European market and became the first company with such a certification in the Czech Republic. Developed and delivered the first variant of electric equipment of mine locomotives for the Chinese market. Completion of the development for Salamander and beginning of production. Equipment received an award: Innovative Technology (Environmental Technologies) prize at the Northwest Business Environment Awards 2007. The company presented its products on the Hanoverian fair together with the company ORI.

2008

Continue the deliveries of equipment of mine locomotives including deliveries to Mexico. New products for wireless communication in explosive area. Conclusion of agreements with ORI GmbH about distribution of our products in the Federal Republic of Germany. Expansion of mechanical production by CNC machines.
Purchase of factory building in Opava.

2009

Conclusion of agreements with Stahl about the sales of grounding units.
